Adam Johnson denies suggestions that he dived to win a penalty during Manchester City's 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.

Manchester City winger Adam Johnson has denied claims that he dived to win a penalty during his side's 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.

The England international went down in the penalty area following a challenge from Chris Baird.

"I felt the contact," said Johnson. "Sometimes in normal time, when you are in the moment, you anticipate contact.

"There is a fine line between diving and anticipating contact but I felt it and went down. These things happen."

City are currently two points clear of Manchester United at the top of the Premier League table.
