Klaus Allofs: 'Kevin de Bruyne deal almost done'

Wolfsburg director Klaus Allofs reveals that Kevin de Bruyne will complete his move to Manchester City in the next 24 hours.

Wolfsburg director Klaus Allofs has admitted that Kevin de Bruyne is on the verge of completing a deal to join Manchester City.

The Belgian, who was left out of the Bundesliga side's match against Schalke this evening, has been linked with a return to the Premier League throughout the transfer window.

After the 3-0 win, Allofs told reporters: "We will complete everything either tonight or tomorrow. De Bruyne is off to Manchester City.

"I explained at the presser [on Thursday] that we had begun talks. Those talks have progressed. Now only minor issues remain."

The Premier League side have reportedly made a £58m bid for the former Chelsea midfielder.
