Kevin De Bruyne wants £500,000 a week?

The agent of Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne suggests that he will be seeking around £500,000 a week for his client under any new deal with the club.

The agent of Manchester City playmaker Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that he is hoping to earn the player significantly-improved terms in the next few months.

The 25-year-old has earned plaudits for his instrumental performances for the Premier League leaders so far this season, leading to speculation that he could be poached by Barcelona.

The Belgian has almost four years remaining on his current deal, which has a relatively-modest wage of £115,000 a week, and agent Patrick De Koster has suggested that he will be asking for around £500,000 a week for his client under any proposed new deal.

"In the coming months, I'll meet with City to figure out how to improve and extend his contract," De Koster is quoted as saying by The Sun.

"His salary? I cannot say. But if you think what Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are being paid, you can picture."

Neymar is thought to be on around £625,000 a week at Paris Saint-Germain, while the highest-paid footballer in England at present is thought to be De Bruyne's City teammate Sergio Aguero, on £220,000 a week.
