Manchester City are preparing a bid for Santos forward Neymar, according to a report.
The Brazil international has been a long-term target for Barcelona and Real Madrid, but City are ready to offer Santos around £50m in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Neymar has a pre-contract agreement with Barca but it is understood that clubs can legitimately buy their way out of the agreement, with City's Director of Football Txiki Begiristain willing to do so to land the skilful attacker.
It is thought that Neymar's arrival will spell the end of Carlos Tevez's four-year stay at the Etihad Stadium.
