Southampton will reportedly make a £15m bid to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Angus Gunn.
The 22-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Norwich City, is keen on continuing his development with regular first-team action a priority for the new season.
According to Goal.com, Saints boss Mark Hughes wants reinforcements between the sticks after Alex McCarthy replaced first-choice stopper Fraser Forster in the net for the best part of last term.
The source says that a £15m move could progress in the coming days, with Man City interested in adding a buy-back clause to the deal.
Gunn, who was called up to the England squad for a friendly with Brazil in November, kept 15 clean sheets in the Championship last season.
