Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney has described his teammate Robin van Persie as his side's "talisman".
The 27-year-old also says that Van Persie can inspire the Red Devils to Champions League success this season.
"When you look at all the teams who have won this competition (the Champions League), they all have had those individuals who can do a bit of magic and win the competition," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
"Robin is like that for us. He's great for the whole team, he's our talisman.
"We've got as good a chance as anyone. I think we've got the players. We're good as a team, but we've also got some great individual players who can win games for us."
Van Persie has scored eight goals in the Premier League and three in the Champions League for United so far this season.
