PSV boss Phillip Cocu 'feels bad' for injured Manchester United star Luke Shaw

PSV Eindhoven boss Phillip Cocu says that he 'feels sorry' for Luke Shaw after one of his players left the Manchester United full-back with a double fracture in his leg.

PSV Eindhoven boss Phillip Cocu has admitted that he 'feels sorry' for Luke Shaw after the Manchester United full-back broke his leg in two places during Tuesday night's Champions League match.

The England international was dealt the blow when Hector Moreno dived in for a tackle during United's 2-1 defeat in Group B.

Moreno, who scored one of PSV's goals, went unpunished after the tackle, but has since apologised to Shaw for causing the injury.

During Cocu's post-match press conference, the PSV boss told reporters: "I felt very bad of course. It's a very bad injury. He's a great player, important for the team, and whenever any player goes off with this kind of injury it's unfortunate. Even our players were affected by it.

"It was not possible to see [the tackle] at the moment because there were a lot of players in the way. The one thing I saw was that the ball went in a different direction, so he got something on the ball but I feel sorry for Luke."

Shaw is expected to be sidelined for at least six months.
