Sunderland defender John O'Shea has called on his teammates to bring their cup form into the Premier League.
The Black Cats beat Manchester United 2-1 in the first leg of their League Cup semi-final, and the Irishman says that similar performances are needed if the Black Cats are to escape relegation.
"I don't know what it is [we're doing in the cup], but we need to bring it into the league, quickly," he told Sky Sports News.
"We have plenty of quality and we need to use it at the right times to make sure we stay up. We need to do that in the league as quickly as possible.
"If we can do that, we can get some points on the board and a win like that [against United] will give us a massive boost. [The tie] is not over yet by the way."
Gus Poyet's side travel to Old Trafford for the second leg at the end of the month.
