Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has responded to an apparent jibe from Jose Mourinho by claiming that the Manchester United manager must have 'senile dementia'.
On Thursday, Mourinho was quizzed over his apparent lack of passion in the dugout, with the Portuguese questioning the theory because he did not act like "a clown".
Conte is known for his exuberant behaviour on the touchline, but the Blues boss has suggested that Mourinho used to act no differently when he first arrived in England.
The 48-year-old told reporters: "I think he has to see himself in the past - maybe he was speaking about himself in the past. Maybe, sometimes, I think that someone forgets what's said in the past, which is his behaviour.
"Sometimes I think there is, I don't know the name, but demenza senile, when you forget what you do in the past."
This is not the first exchange between the pair, with their initial disagreement coming after Mourinho allegedly accused Conte of 'disrespect' when Chelsea ran out 4-0 winners over United last season.
