Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has rejected rumours that he and manager Louis van Gaal are not on speaking terms.
Reports emerged in Spain earlier this week claiming that the shot-stopper and the Dutchman have not spoken for months, which has fuelled speculation surrounding De Gea's future.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, but other media outlets have suggested that the goalkeeper is close to agreeing a new deal at Old Trafford.
In response to the rumours that he has fallen out with Van Gaal, De Gea told MUTV: "Everything that has been written in the press about us not getting on is a lie. We both want the best for the club and the team, and the stories are complete lies."
United are currently fourth in the Premier League table, with a one-point cushion above fifth-placed Southampton.
