Patrice Evra: 'Manchester United deserve more credit'

Patrice Evra believes that Manchester United do not get enough credit for fighting back from losing positions in matches.

Patrice Evra has claimed that Manchester United do not get enough praise for fighting back from losing positions in matches.

The Red Devils, who are 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, came from behind twice on Wednesday to earn a 2-2 draw at West Ham United.

In total, the team have picked up 29 points from such comebacks as they bid to win a 20th league title.

"Because it is Manchester United people don't give us a lot of credit," Sky Sports News quotes Evra as saying. "They just say 'Oh, okay, they escaped, they came back'.

"If it is another team they say what great character they have, what a great team they are.

"But we have not escaped. This is character. This is personality. It is the reason we are in the position we are."

United, who are six points away from winning the league, host Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Monday.
