Roy Keane has claimed that Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should be given at least two transfer windows to get the club back on track.
Having been handed a three-year contract, Solskjaer is currently overseeing a transitional period at Old Trafford, with three first-team additions made in the summer to coincide with four departures.
After a poor start to the new Premier League campaign, speculation persists that the Norwegian is under pressure to keep his job in the dugout.
However, despite predicting that United face a tough period going forward, Keane feels that the North-West giants must keep Solskjaer at the helm.
The club legend told Sky Sports News: "They've given him the job and the contract, so support him and let him get on with it. Give him a couple of transfer windows.
"Are there more tough days ahead? You can bet your life there is. But they have to persevere."
United currently sit in 10th position in the top-flight standings.
