Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that it will be "interesting" to see how Manchester United's new signings integrate into the team.
Louis van Gaal was quick to snap up Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven, but has since added Matteo Darmian to the side.
The Red Devils have also agreed a deal to sign Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich, while Morgan Schneiderlin is expected to join the club from Southampton after undergoing a medical on Sunday.
When asked about United's transfer business, Wenger told reporters: "We knew they wouldn't be happy with finishing outside the top three, they will respond.
"They have made some interesting signings. They came out of the season thinking they have to rebuild their midfield, and they did it by buying two important players - Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin. They are two top-class players. One who is now coming up to the top level, Schneiderlin, and one who has done it all. It will be interesting to see how they mix with the other players."
Wenger also revealed that the club were never interested in signing Liverpool star Raheem Sterling, who is believed to be closing in on a £49m move to Manchester City.
