Raheem Sterling is edging closer to completing his move from Liverpool to Manchester City as the youngster has reportedly been booked in to undergo a medical today.
The 20-year-old is on the verge of becoming the most expensive British player to sign for another domestic club after the Reds and City agreed a £49m fee at the weekend.
Sterling has been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield over the last few months after he refused to sign a new £100,000-a-week contract at the Merseyside club.
The England international was dropped from Liverpool's pre-season tour squad at the last minute, indicating that City had been successful in their latest bid after being knocked back by the Premier League club twice previously.
According to Sky Sports News, Sterling will have medical tests at some point today before putting pen to paper on a lucrative contract at the Etihad Stadium.
The attacker joined Liverpool's youth ranks from Queens Park Rangers in 2010.
