Ashley Young praises youthful Manchester United teammates

Manchester United's young defenders Paddy McNair and Tyler Blackett receive praise from Ashley Young for their performances in the Premier League win at Arsenal.

Ashley Young has hailed the displays of Manchester United's young defenders Paddy McNair and Tyler Blackett during yesterday's 2-1 win away at Arsenal.

The duo were selected by manager Louis van Gaal as part of a three-man defence alongside Chris Smalling at the Emirates Stadium, due to injuries to the likes of Phil Jones, Jonny Evans and Marcos Rojo

When asked by the club's official website about their performances, Young said: "I think [resilience] is going to have to be [the key word]. Players like Paddy and Tyler at the back were fantastic, and Chris as well."

"It's new for Tyler and Paddy to come to the Emirates but I thought they were great from the word go and it's not an easy job."

Young entered the encounter as a first-half substitute when Luke Shaw was forced off with an ankle problem.
