Arsenal's Takehiro Tomiyasu is back on the bench for Saturday's Premier League clash with Manchester United at the Emirates.

Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu is back on the bench for Saturday's Premier League clash with top-four rivals Manchester United at the Emirates, with Eddie Nketiah leading the line again.

The Japan international has been absent for the Gunners' last nine top-flight games with a calf injury but is fit enough to be named among the substitutes against the Red Devils.

Mikel Arteta has only elected to make one change from the side that beat Chelsea 4-2 in midweek, with Cedric Soares returning at right-back as Rob Holding drops out of the XI.

Such a move allows Ben White to return to the heart of the backline alongside Gabriel Magalhaes, as Nuno Tavares continues on the left-hand side of defence.

Mohamed Elneny unsurprisingly keeps his place alongside Granit Xhaka after a solid performance at Stamford Bridge, and Emile Smith Rowe gets the nod over Gabriel Martinelli to join Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka in the attack.

Nketiah is once again tasked with spearheading the charge after bagging a brace against the Blues, with Alexandre Lacazette among the substitutes.

Arsenal starting lineup: Ramsdale; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tavares; Xhaka, Elneny; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Nketiah

Subs: Leno, Tomiyasu, Swanson, Holding, Azeez, Lokonga, Pepe, Martinelli, Lacazette
