Arsenal are reportedly considering a late move for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, who is said to be attracting interest from Manchester United.

Arsenal have reportedly indicated that they intend to join the race to sign Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.

The Germany international has previously suggested that he would like to take on a new challenge ahead of the upcoming campaign, and that has allegedly resulted in interest from Manchester United.

However, according to Kicker, Arsenal are ready to make a late bid for Boateng before the closure of the transfer window on Thursday afternoon.

New boss Unai Emery is allegedly unconvinced by his current centre-backs, and Shkodran Mustafi has been linked with an exit from the Emirates Stadium.

Boateng is valued in the region of £45m, and Arsenal need to sell players before they are able to make any more additions in the coming days.
