Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubamyang would reportedly prefer a move to Chelsea over Manchester United, with the 33-year-old keen to play Champions League football.

Barcelona Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would reportedly prefer to join Chelsea instead of Manchester United.

The forward only joined Barcelona in January, but following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski, he has fallen down the pecking order at Camp Nou.

Despite scoring 13 goals in 23 appearances last term, Aubameyang is rumoured to be leaving the club before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea are leading the race for the Gabon international and remain in talks with Barcelona over a potential deal, however, United are also interested in signing the former Arsenal striker.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, via Caught Offside, Aubameyang's preference is to join Chelsea, who have already agreed personal terms with the player.

The 33-year-old is also keen to play Champions League football this season, which the Blues can offer after being drawn in a group alongside AC Milan, Red Bull Salzburg and Dinamo Zagreb.

Chelsea and Barcelona are still in disagreement as to whether Marcos Alonso should be included in a deal for Aubameyang, with the Catalan giants preferring to discuss two separate transfers.
