Manchester United could reportedly be tempted into making a bid for Benfica's Nicolas Gaitan after the Portuguese club slashed their asking price for the player.
The Red Devils have been linked with the Argentine international previously, but were said to be unwilling to meet his £36m buyout clause.
However, The Mirror claims that Benfica will accept a bid of £28m to part company with Gaitan.
Furthermore, Benfica are hoping that a reduced price will tempt the Premier League giants into a January bid as they look to raise much-needed revenue.
Gaitan joined Benfica from Boca Juniors in 2010.
