Paris Saint-Germain have opened negotiations with Palmeiras over a move for 16-year-old attacker Endrick, according to the Brazilian's father.

The father of Palmeiras attacker Endrick has confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain have made an official proposal to sign the 16-year-old next year.

Endrick has emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in South America, having enjoyed prolific campaigns at youth level before breaking into the first team.

Despite his tender age, Endrick has already made seven senior appearances for Palmeiras in Serie A, scoring three goals and setting up one more.

The 2006-born attacker, who does not turn 17 until July, helped Palmeiras win the 2022 Brasileiro title and also struck six goals in seven games in the Under-20 Copinha earlier this term.

A plethora of top clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on Endrick, with Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid thought to be at the head of the queue.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have also been tipped to move for the Brazil Under-20 international, who is contracted to Palmeiras until 2025.

It has been reported that PSG have already had two bids knocked back by Palmeiras, and Endrick's father Douglas Sousa has now revealed that the French champions have come forward with an offer for his son.

"Paris Saint-Germain are the only club that opened negotiations with Palmeiras with an official proposal, as things stand," Sousa told Canal do Nicola, as quoted by football.london. "There are many clubs from different countries keen on signing him. PSG have already moved."

However, Sousa did not reveal whether Palmeiras had indeed rejected any PSG offers for Endrick, who is believed to have recently visited Chelsea's training ground with his family.

The 16-year-old reportedly met with Brazil captain Thiago Silva among others, and Chelsea are said to have already held several meetings over a future move.

Ramos was alleged to have publicly outlined plans to visit Real Madrid's training facilities with Endrick, but the attacker's father has denied such claims to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

"I didn't give any interview, and I never spoke about any travel to Madrid in the next weeks. There's no travel scheduled as things stand," Ramos told Romano.

"There's nothing decided for Real Madrid or any other club. We've no preference yet. We'll decide in the next months, the club that will pay what Palmeiras want and show us the best technical project for Endrick, will sign the boy."

Endrick signed his first professional contract with Palmeiras back in July, and he would be expected to remain at Palmeiras until his 18th birthday before any transfer goes through in 2024.
