Bruno Fernandes is eager for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves to join him at Manchester United, according to a report.
The pair have played alongside each other for Portugal at international level for the past four years, making a combined nine appearances at this summer's Euro 2020 tournament.
After spending the last four seasons with Wolves, three of those in the Premier League, Neves is expected to depart Molineux this window if his £35m valuation is met.
United are not the only side to have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old, with domestic rivals Arsenal also apparently interested in bringing him on board.
However, talkSPORT claims that the Red Devils have an advantage as Fernandes is pushing Neves to join him at Old Trafford.
Neves featured 39 times for Wanderers in all competitions last season and played a direct part in six goals.
