Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred has admitted that he is aware of a "very strong bid" from Manchester United.
The Red Devils are said to be in advanced talks with the Brazilian's representatives and Shakhtar over completing a £53m deal before the World Cup begins.
Fred has already revealed that he intends to wait until after Brazil's campaign in Russia before making a decision on his future, though, despite the fact that he will be in Britain next week as part of the Selecao's tournament preparations.
Rumours continue to circulate regarding the 25-year-old's future, but the one-time Manchester City target is happy to let his representatives take care of things for at least the next month.
"The talks had been in progress since January with City," he is quoted as saying by Globo Esporte. "Soon after, City and United talked to Shakhtar and my agents. And now, if I'm not mistaken, there was news of a very strong bid from United.
"As far as negotiations go, I am only [focused] on the World Cup. You just think about that, forget about other things. My agents are taking care of it."
City are rumoured to have ended their interest in Fred to instead focus on landing Jorginho from Napoli.
