Antalyaspor president: 'Victor Valdes could be Turkey-bound'

Antalyaspor president Gultekin Gencer believes that Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes could arrive in Turkey on Saturday to join the Superlig club.

Antalyaspor president Gultekin Gencer has claimed that Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes could arrive in Turkey on Saturday.

Following a spell on the sidelines with a cruciate knee ligament injury, the ex-Barcelona stopper joined the Red Devils on an 18-month contract back in January.

However, the 33-year-old only featured towards the end of the season due to an injury to number one goalkeeper David de Gea, and is reportedly disillusioned at getting little game time.

Gencer is quoted by Eurosport as saying: "We are close to agreeing personal terms [with Valdes]. There is however a slight disagreement regarding wages. He could arrive in Turkey [on Saturday] once personal terms are agreed."

Valdes has made just two appearances for Man Utd, during which he kept one clean sheet.
