Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly 'furious' with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over the cancellation of a meeting regarding potential transfers.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly been left 'furious' with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over the cancellation of a meeting to discuss possible incomings in January.

Mourinho failed to bring in any of his centre-back targets during the summer transfer window, and the Portuguese has frequently alluded to missing out on making additions which he felt were necessary to strengthen his squad.

The 55-year-old's position at Old Trafford has also allegedly been under threat, but it appears that discussions were due to take place between Mourinho and the board regarding the club's business at the midway point of the campaign.

However, according to The Sun, Woodward was unable to make the scheduled meeting and opted to cancel it until a later date, a move which has annoyed Mourinho.

There are still two months until clubs can buy new players, but Mourinho will want plans to be put in place with United currently languishing in eighth place in the Premier League standings.
