Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Kostas Manolas from Roma, according to a report.
The Red Devils have been linked with a number of centre-backs over the past 12 months, including the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Jerome Boateng and Diego Godin.
After missing out on each of their targets in the summer, United are now believed to have turned their attention to Manolas, who has a release clause of around £32.5m.
Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb suggests that the 27-year-old is not close to agreeing fresh terms at the Stadio Olimpico and may therefore be sold in 2019, with United among the sides keen to strike a deal.
Manolas, considered one of the best central defenders in the Italian top flight over the past few years, was also recently touted as a target for United's Premier League rivals Chelsea.
