Manchester United have reportedly already 'discussed the potential framework' for a move for West Ham United's Declan Rice during next summer's transfer window.
The Red Devils failed to bring a new midfielder to the club in the recent market despite head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemingly being keen to boost his options in that area of the field.
A recent report claimed that the 20-time English champions are firmly interested in Rice, who is now a vital player for England as well as West Ham.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 22-year-old is Man United's leading midfield target, and the club have already started to put together the framework ahead of a move next summer.
The report claims that West Ham could be forced to sell Rice next summer, with the Englishman making it clear that he is not intending to sign a new contract at the London Stadium.
The midfielder, who has a deal with David Moyes's side until June 2024, has provided one assist in three appearances for the Hammers at the start of the new Premier League season.
