Manchester United reportedly sent scouts to watch Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma in their Champions League quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old scored the only goal of the game in the eighth minute to help the Yellow Submarine claim a surprise 1-0 first-leg victory over the Bavarian giants on home soil.
Danjuma has impressed in his first season with the Spanish side since joining from Bournemouth last summer, scoring 14 goals and registering four assists in 29 appearances across all competitions.
According to the Daily Mail, United are one of several European clubs who are keeping tabs on the Netherlands international, and the Red Devils had scouts in attendance at the Estadio de la Ceramica to take a closer look at the winger in midweek.
Premier League rivals Liverpool are also believed to be interested in Danjuma, and they view the Dutchman as a potential replacement for Sadio Mane.
Danjuma is under contract at Villarreal until June 2026 and he is believed to have a €75m (£63m) release clause.
