Manchester United reportedly remain interested in signing Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
Despite his status in the first-team squad at San Siro, the Croatia international has just eight months left on his contract.
Previous reports have suggested that Inter are favourites to tie down the 28-year-old to a new long-term deal.
However, InterLive says that the Serie A giants face three obstacles, most notably from clubs prepared to offer Brozovic a more lucrative contract.
As well as claiming that Inter are yet to meet the player's demands, it is also said that other teams are in a better position to pay commission to his representatives.
With the futures of several midfielders currently up in the air, United are likely to be in the market for a fresh face in that area of the pitch next year.
