Manchester United are reportedly ready to put together a £100m proposal for Benfica youngster Joao Felix.
The 19-year-old, who has netted 19 times during his breakthrough campaign at the Portuguese giants, is wanted by many of European football's top clubs.
Manchester City are said to be keen to secure the prospect's signature, but Correio da Manha claims that neighbours Man United are prepared to pay in excess of £100m.
The report suggests that the North-West giants are happy to meet the player's current £105m release clause, although it appears unlikely that the club would be prepared to pay that figure up front.
That will allegedly lead to Benfica shunning United's attempts to sign Felix, who still has four years remaining on his contract.
