Adrien Rabiot reportedly wants a salary increase to join Manchester United this summer.
Reports emerged over the last few days that United were interested in signing Rabiot from Juventus in a bid to strengthen their midfield following the departures of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic this summer.
Discussions over personal terms have already begun between United and the player's agent and mother Veronique Rabiot, after a fee in the region of £15m had been agreed between the two clubs.
However, according to The Mirror, Rabiot's wage demands have resulted in negotiations stalling, with the France international looking for a pay rise.
The midfielder currently earns £113,000 a week, which equates to a yearly salary of €7m (£5.93m), however, Rabiot is reportedly asking United for over €10m (£8.46m) per year.
Although the 27-year-old has been convinced by Erik ten Hag's project, he wants a financial reward for giving up Champions League football this season.
Rabiot has made over 129 appearances for Juventus, scoring six goals and contributing six assists.
