Vice-president Oleg Petrov has claimed that Monaco have little interest in parting ways with Benoit Badiashile during the summer transfer window.
Despite only turning 19 in March, Badiashile has already made 45 appearances in the centre of Monaco's backline.
The performances of the prospect have inevitably led to interest from elsewhere, including from Premier League giants Manchester United.
However, despite having the option of cashing in on the youngster, it appears that Monaco would prefer to retain the services of one of their most prized assets.
Petrov is quoted by L'Equipe as saying: "For us, it means a lot. He is a very good pair with Axel Disasi and he is part of the defence, which has been criticised a lot last season.
"We have received serious expressions of interest in him, but it is not the idea that he will be leaving us this season. The coach and everyone at the club are counting on him."
Badiashile still has four years remaining on his contract at Stade Louis II.
