David Beckham reportedly wants Wayne Rooney to join his Miami MLS franchise.
The 40-year-old will have a team in the US in 2018 and it is believed that he sees the current England captain as the ideal star to sign for his expansion side.
Beckham has found a suitable site for a stadium and according to the Daily Star, he has already been contacted by numerous players who want to be a part of his team in three years' time.
The Manchester United captain would be nearing the end of his current contract and is reportedly open to a move to the United States, having spent time on holiday with his family.
Rooney is likely to miss out on his club's next fixture as United head to Holland to take on PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday.
