Manchester United will reportedly attempt to sign Raheem Sterling from fierce rivals Liverpool.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a host of Europe's top clubs in recent weeks following a dispute with Liverpool over his contract.
The England international is not expected to sign fresh terms at Anfield, which could see the Reds move him on before his current deal expires in 2016.
Reports have claimed that Liverpool will not let the youngster go for anything less than £60m.
United boss Louis van Gaal is said to be confident that Sterling will leave Merseyside this summer, and the Dutchman will try to bring him to Old Trafford.
According to The Mirror, Van Gaal intends to start a bidding war by tabling a £25m offer for the winger.
Manchester City and Arsenal are also thought to be monitoring Sterling's situation.
