The 23-year-old has scored 14 goals in 25 games this season, and has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Manchester City in recent weeks.
However, the player's agent Louis Laros told reporters: "I hope that everything will be resolved before the weekend."
The deal is expected to run until 2016.
