RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has revealed that he dreams of playing for Manchester United one day as he grew up supporting the club as a youngster.
The 21-year-old is believed to have caught the eye of United's arch rivals Liverpool and Spanish giants Barcelona since making the move to Leipzig from Stuttgart in 2016.
Despite that, Werner, who has scored five goals in six outings this season, has suggested that Old Trafford would be his preferred destination.
"As a young boy, you always dream of the big club you'd like to play for," the forward told Sky Sports News. "It used to be Manchester United under Alex Ferguson, who always won.
"A young boy is always a fan of those who win. You can't just drop something like that. When it's going well, you dream of playing somewhere else."
Werner made his senior debut for the German national team in the summer during the Confederations Cup.
