Gonzalo Higuain included in Napoli squad

Napoli name Gonzalo Higuain in their 20-man squad for tomorrow's game at Chievo despite suffering a cut jaw on Monday.

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has named Gonzalo Higuain in his 20-man squad for tomorrow's trip to Chievo, despite the Argentine striker sustaining a bizarre injury earlier this week.

Higuain was hospitalised on Monday afternoon after cutting his jaw open during a boat trip at the seaside.

The 25-year-old needed stitches to repair the cut but despite being doubtful to face Verona will be given until tomorrow morning to prove his fitness.

Benitez started life at the San Paolo Stadium in positive fashion last weekend, recording a 3-0 win over Bologna in their opening match of the new Serie A campaign.

Higuain started that match but is still looking for his first goal in Italian football, after an effort from close range against Bologna was ruled out for offside.
