Netherlands midfielder Jonathan de Guzman picks up a hamstring injury ahead of the World Cup.

Netherlands midfielder Jonathan de Guzman has suffered an injury scare ahead of the World Cup.

The 26-year-old picked up a hamstring complaint while training with the national team on Monday.

While De Guzman is expected to be fit for his country's World Cup opener against holders Spain on June 15, he is likely to miss the side's friendly with Wales in Amsterdam on Wednesday.

De Guzman, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Swansea City from Villarreal, has won eight caps for the Netherlands.
