West Ham United captain Kevin Nolan has admitted that the prospect of relegating former club Newcastle United would be tough to accept.
The Hammers head to the North-East tomorrow knowing that victory or a draw would send Newcastle down to the Championship if Hull City beat Manchester United.
Nolan, who spent three years with Newcastle, told Sky Sports News that West Ham will remain professional despite having nothing to play for.
The 32-year-old said: "It will be emotional going back up there again. I have such a good rapport with all the fans.
"It's going to be a bit of a strange one. We have got to do it properly and try and go for the win because we want to finish as high as possible."
Nolan was part of the Newcastle squad that were relegated from the Premier League in 2009.
