Lille striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Newcastle United.
After playing a year on loan at Charleroi in Belgium, Osimhen has quickly adapted to life in France, scoring a total of seven goals from nine outings in Ligue 1.
The 20-year-old also found the back of the net during his club's Champions League meeting with Chelsea earlier this month, leaving him as a natural future addition for a team in the Premier League.
According to Chronicle Live, Newcastle are considering a bid for the Nigerian as they look to strengthen in the final third.
While Joelinton and Andy Carroll were brought to St James' Park in the summer, Steve Bruce will want to add another fresh face if the Magpies cash in on Dwight Gayle in January.
The report adds that Newcastle plan to send scouts to France in order to monitor the development of Osimhen.
