Stoke City have reportedly identified Newcastle United pair Dwight Gayle and Matt Ritchie as their top summer transfer targets.
The Potters believe that securing the duo will help them mount a promotion push in the Championship next season, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.
Newcastle, however, are said to have informed Stoke that neither player will be sold on the cheap.
The Magpies are rumoured to be in the market for a new striker this summer, casting doubt on Gayle's future at the club.
Previous reports suggest that Stoke opened the bidding for the centre-forward at £10m, but it is unclear whether they have tabled an offer for Ritchie.
