PSG sporting director Leonardo is open to bringing David Beckham to France once his LA Galaxy contract runs out at the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has revealed that “the door is open” for LA Galaxy midfielder David Beckham to make the switch to the French side.

The 36-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract with the US club, has been at the centre of speculation regarding his future, with Queens Park Rangers declaring interest in the former Manchester United star.

While a move back to the Premier League could be an option for Beckham, the former AC Milan coach believes that he would fit in well in Ligue 1 after already working alongside the former England captain.

"The door is open,” Leonardo told BBC Sport. “He is more than a football player - he's a brand, a pop star. I would always consider him.

"He respects the rules, listens to you and wants the best for the team. That's why for me he is a big example. I worked with him and that's why I talk about his name."

PSG were taken over by Qatar Sports Investments during the summer.
