Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Alex McCarthy has admitted that he has endured a "frustrating" season due to a lack of first-team action.
The summer signing from Reading played just his third game of the campaign on Saturday, replacing the injured Robert Green during the R's 2-1 win over Newcastle United.
Having struggled to displace Green between the sticks at Loftus Road, 25-year-old McCarthy is now eager to gain more experience in the coming months.
"For myself it has been a very frustrating season to go from playing to not getting as much game time as I would have liked," he told QPR's official website. "I just want to be playing football. That is my main priority next season, as I just want to be playing."
QPR wrap up their Premier League campaign on Sunday when they face Leicester City at Loftus Road.
