Rangers players 'reject 15% pay cut'

Rangers players reportedly reject a 15% pay cut in order to help the Scottish club lower their costs.

Rangers players have reportedly turned down the option to take a 15% pay cut in order to help the club bring down costs.

The Scottish outfit are keen on reducing their outgoings under new chief executive Graham Wallace.

As part of this, the notion was put forward for the players to have a deduction in their salaries, but it is said to have been met by rejection from the team.

A spokesman for Rangers told STV: "The chief executive and manager are continuing to look at ways as to how Rangers can live within their means."

Wallace was appointed as chief executive in November last year.
