Reading manager Nigel Adkins has insisted that any speculation regarding a possible takeover of the club will not affect the club's promotion push from the Championship.
The club have been looking for new investors for several months, with majority owner Anton Zingarevich thought to be ready to sell his stake.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding the club's ownership, Adkins has guided the Royals to four wins from their last six matches, which has moved them up to sixth in the table.
"We have a totally focused group of players," Adkins told BBC South Today.
"There's a saying that you're only as strong as your weakest link, but you'd find it very challenging to find a weak link at this club.
"We're in a playoff position and have as good a chance as anybody. There's a smile on everyone's faces and the players are really working hard."
