Alvaro Morata: 'I don't hold grudge towards Real Madrid'

Alvaro Morata insists that he does not hold a grudge towards Real Madrid after moving to Juventus last summer.

Juventus striker Alvaro Morata has insisted that he does not hold a grudge towards Real Madrid as he prepares to meet his former club once again.

Real sold Morata to the Italian champions last summer after he struggled to earn regular first-team opportunities, but the Spaniard claims that his only focus is on enjoying success with Juventus ahead of the Champions League semi-final second leg.

"I do not hold a grudge against anybody. I am grateful to [Carlo] Ancelotti for giving me lots of games, even playing a few in the Champions League final," the 22-year-old, who scored the opener in last week's 2-1 win in Turin, told Sky Sports News.

"I don't have to prove anything to anyone, but I am a Juventus player now and I want to do the best for my team. I do not think about Madrid, I'm happy in Turin.

"No matter how long it has been since Juve won the Champions League, we are now working to win it again."

Morata has scored 10 goals in all competitions this season.
