Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso did not suffer a serious injury in Spain's 2-1 win over Equatorial Guinea in their international friendly on Saturday evening.
The 31-year-old, who has only recently returned to action following a long layoff, limped out in the first half of La Roja's match at the weekend.
It had been claimed that Alonso could face another extended period on the sidelines, but head coach Vicente del Bosque told reporters after the match that the midfielder had suffered "a knock" rather than a serious injury.
Alonso's current deal with Madrid expires at the end of the season, with a number of clubs believed to be interested in securing his services.
