Sergio Ramos: 'No one individual to blame'

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos says that his team must share the blame for some disappointing performances in recent weeks.

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has insisted that his team must share the blame for some disappointing performances in recent weeks.

Los Blancos lost 2-1 at Girona on Sunday afternoon, which has left the Spanish champions eight points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona after 10 games of the 2017-18 campaign.

Real Madrid were also criticised for their lacklustre performance against Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League last month.

Cristiano Ronaldo's goal troubles in La Liga have been highlighted in recent weeks, but Ramos has said that his team must take collective blame for their struggles.

"Nobody is to blame here, as I've always said," Ramos told El Transistor. "Everybody can do more of course, but that is always the case but when you win, you do that as a team and it is the same situation when you lose.

"It's the wrong time to point fingers at anyone in particular because, as I said, we can always give more as a team and as individuals."

Real Madrid will face Tottenham at Wembley in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
