Napoli remain interested in signing Real Madrid star James Rodriguez, according to a report.
Madrid are keen to get Rodriguez off their wage bill, with the Colombian having spent the last two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich.
Marca report that Carlo Ancelotti, who worked with the 28-year-old at the Bernabeu and at Bayern, remains optimistic of reuniting with the player at Napoli.
The San Paolo club had been in the driving seat to secure Rodriguez's signature before interest from Atletico Madrid complicated matters.
Rodriguez made 67 appearances over two seasons while on loan at the Allianz Arena, but Bayern have decided against making the move permanent.
Napoli are also trying to sign Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe, with club executives having met the Ivorian's representatives this week.
