Real Madrid have completed the signing of midfielder Lucas Silva from Cruzeiro for a fee believed to be around £10.5m.
The Brazilian has agreed a five-and-half-year deal with Los Blancos and will undergo a medical before being unveiled by the club on Monday afternoon.
Silva is the second player to arrive at the Bernabeu this month after the European champions signed Norwegian teenage sensation Martin Odegaard.
Real are believed to have beaten off competition from Arsenal for the 21-year-old, who has been likened to Bayern Munich midfielder and former Real star Xabi Alonso.
Los Blancos return to action in La Liga when they travel to Cordoba on Saturday afternoon.
