Real Madrid have reportedly fallen short in their attempt to nab Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson from Roma, as the Serie A side are holding out for a much bigger fee.
The 25-year-old is rumoured to be on the radar of a number of European clubs, including Champions League finalists Liverpool and Madrid.
Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport suggests that Los Blancos have already made their interest known by tabling an offer, which has fallen substantially short of Roma's £87m asking price.
Roma are under less pressure to offload than in the past thanks to their incredible run to the last four of the Champions League, and the same report indicates that Alisson may even be tempted to agree fresh terms at the Stadio Olimpico.
Alisson, who is expected to be Brazil's first-choice keeper at the World Cup, admitted earlier this year that he is "very happy" to have been linked with Madrid and Liverpool.
